Osaka Castle in summer.
I found this castle to be one of the most impressive. You can even get inside into the castle by paying a very small amount of fee and inside it there are history that you can watch and read regarding the castle.
Pretty cool isn't it? This was shot as I was entering the castle. It really does towering over you!
Inside the castle was essentially museum regarding Osaka city in general and they have a combination of mini models and video depicting what happened in the area. There a few levels to the castle and every level depict different part of the story.
The details on those mini figurines were phenomenal!
The main highlight for me was this observation deck. It was a 360 view of the entire Osaka city. It just looks incredible! As you walk around the deck, you will see the different part of Osaka.
I was fortunate enough that on the day I was there, it was clear and the viewing distance was good! I'm a sucker for this kind of view! Such shame that they barricade it with those wire mesh (yeah safety is number one).
If you are not rushing for time or in a tour, do take a walk around the outer perimeter. You will be able to see different faces of Osaka Castle such as below. I'm sure it will be lovely no matter which season you are in when coming to this place. I honestly can't imagine how beautiful it will be when it is cherry blossom season.
