Ryugashido Cave @ Hamamatsu, Shizuoka.
This was one of those least known attraction in Japan. Not many people will just go out of their way to visit this place I suppose. The place was a quite a distance from the city of Hamamatsu in Shizuoka and to be honest it isn't one of those tourist place that you will visit.
But in the event that you visit Hamamatsu or you are a fan of underground cave and looking for a place to visit, then visit this place. Its especially a nice place to visit during summer because the temperature inside the cave stay a constant of around 18 degree celsius.
Those stalagmites and stalactites were incredible and the people actually name some of the unique looking one! Some of the names were pretty tacky!
When I first saw this, i was imagining what if there is an earthquake or some earth movement and you just happened to be walking through it? Definitely not for those with claustrophobic!
As I walk deeper into the cave, I got to see an underground waterfall! It was bloody amazing! Oh and also you just need to follow the path given all the way to the exit and it wasn't a loop. At the end of it there will be the standard souvenir store.
Overall it was a pretty good experience especially for those that have yet to see an underground cave.
