Yamadera Temple - Blows My Mind.
In my opinion, this is one of those place that you got to visit if possible. This is a place made up of temples on top of a mountain in a very small town called Yamagata. I was here during the summer period, just imagine if you can come here during fall where the leaves are turning brown and falling gracefully, during winter where everything is covered in white and during spring where the flowers start popping up. Just how lovely will that be!
The not so good part was that I have to hike in the scorching hot weather to the very top. It wasn't that hard but the heat was punching me in the face! However the view was amazing! You will see what I meant in the photos below.
As you climb up, you will be greeted with different gates / temples and this was one of them. I can't imagine how did they even built those back then!
This is essentially the summit where there are multiple temples / buildings and the area with most open space.
Look at those view. Just imagine if you are there for the other 3 seasons!
This was at the summit and one of the most impressive looking temple and hidden on the right side there was a small pathway that you can take to go to a vantage point.
Up we go towards the right side and below is the viewing spots for everyone. Its protruding out, so if you have some fear of height then... well just do it!
The writing on the structure itself kinda creepy I suppose (since I can't read kanji and do not know what they wrote).
It reminds you of those haunted places and some holy seals ain't it?
This is the view that you will be greeted with. Just look at how amazing that is! Now imagine yourself looking at that with all the different seasons. Wouldn't it be just mind blowing? I really hope I can go back there to experience it again one day.
